It is important you make the right decision when choosing

size is best for you? Our in store experts can help
you make the right choice to suit your needs and keep
you comfortable all through the night for years to come.
Natural
The concept of a duvet is based on nature itself. Like
the fur of animals or the down & feathers of birds a
duvet is designed to provide insulation. Down is considered
to be the best filling for duvets, this is because they
have a substantially longer life span as there is noting
inside to break down over time thus keeping your duvet
lofty and retaining warmth value.

Natural
duvets breathe naturally, keeping you cool in the
summer and warm in the winter - working with you
as they do with the animal. Feather & down is a
more affordable alternative to down as the filling
is mostly feathers, this gives a heavier weight,
it is not as durable as down but does still give
you all the bonuses of natural filling. There are
other fillings available too such as cotton, wool
& silk all in a variety of togs which are listed
below. We also have a large range of natural pillows
in a range of fillings and tensions. |
Hollofibre
Hollofibre is a good option for allergy sufferers. Polyester
fibres are the man made alternative to natural fillings
for those who prefer or who must have synthetic fillings
as they are non-allergenic. Most hollofibre duvets can
be washed at 60° (dust mites are eliminated at 58°).
There
are better quality fillings available such as Aerelle
& Quallofil, these fibres have better insulation and
resist lumping & matting. See below for our chart of
togs available in the man made fillings. We also have
a large selection of hollofibre pillows in a range of
qualities and tensions.
